Volunteer Opportunities

Bell Shoals Baptist Academy welcomes visitors and volunteers to the campus. We are pleased to have the support of volunteers to enhance the academy experience for our students.

Bell Shoals Baptist Academy offers several opportunities for parents to be involved in their student's education.  All campuses offer ways for parents to volunteer in their student's classroom. These volunteer opportunities are best arranged by speaking with your student's teacher.  The Brandon campus also offers the Preschool Volunteer Fellowship, the Parent Teacher Fellowship and the Education Steering Committee.

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."
3 John 1:4

Preschool Volunteer Fellowship

The Preschool Volunteer Fellowship (PVF) exists to bring honor and glory to the Lord through supporting its members in their role as parents of preschoolers, and through service and support of Bell Shoals Baptist Academy. The PVF aims to promote Christian Fellowship between parents of preschoolers while serving to further the benefits our children receive while attending Bell Shoals Baptist Academy.

Parent Teacher Fellowship

The Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is a board comprised of parents who are willing to serve Bell Shoals Baptist Academy for a one year commitment. The PTF is in charge of various events throughout the year such as; Open House, the Ice Cream Social, Pop in with Pop, Teacher Appreciation Week and more. The Board also serves as a support system for the parents, teachers and student body. It is a wonderful way to get involved to fellowship with other parents, serve God, our school and our children.

Visitor Guidelines

To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all visitors to the campus who are not registered must obtain an identification badge at the Security Desk by submitting their drivers’ license.

Parents who have completed a background check will be registered into our computer security system. To visit the campus, parents must sign in at the kiosk and receive a visitor badge. Before leaving campus, please log off at the kiosk.

All volunteers who will be supervising students or driving on field trips must complete a background check form and submit with fee two weeks prior to the trip.  In addition, they must be at least 21 years of age, and all drivers must be 25 years old.

Please make arrangements for younger siblings when volunteering.  Dress modestly as a good example to our students who have a dress code.

Custody of Children

On occasion there may be some custody situations that Bell Shoals Baptist Academy is not aware of.  Legally, BSBA cannot keep another parent from coming to visit their child at school. If there is a threatening situation with an ex-spouse, please inform the school office and your child’s principal as soon as possible.  Bell Shoals Baptist Academy requests parents not to involve the teachers in the litigation process.

Chapel

Bell Shoals Baptist Academy provides a strong spiritual emphasis which includes weekly worship at the Brandon Campus for kindergarten through 8th grade.  Parents and friends are welcome and invited to the Chapel to worship with their children.  Special services are arraigned throughout the year, with different grades leading the worship service, and special presentations.  Please join us and worship together with your child.
